Overview
The story of 3 Jewish children, as told thru their journals and diaries, in their desperate attempt to escape the horrors of 1938 Nazi Germany with the goal of reaching the Baltic sea and freedom. Only with the help of a Catholic Priest and a traveling Gypsy circus do they have a chance. Conditions only get worse as the assassination of Germany Secretary Ernst Vom Rath sparks the nation into a pogrom of any and all people suspected of being Jewish. Their chances of survival are dim but somehow they have to try to survive.
