It doesn't matter where you come from or where you live, terrorism affects us all... Then, is the power of the written word enough to begin to defeat terrorism? Of course not, but it is a strong way to make people think, first, and then coherently act. We can't 'teach' other human beings to 'live', but we can show them how we live and how we write poetry.. if they are interested in learning something about us and the way we 'make poetry'. The more young people embrace Poetry, the more it will let our hope in Humanity grow. Should we refer, as an example, to the topic "terrorism": although the human mind is unpredictable, a poet's heart is much stronger than an 'ordinary' writer's one. A writer could become a terrorist, under certain circumstances, but it would be almost impossible for a (real) poet. It is the poet's heart to make a difference! And we could add that 'Poetry of Witness' has become an important kind of poetry for making people think...
