Before cars were invented people used horses to move from one place to another, and when cars became common place, horses, and slowly horse riding became more a hobby than a need. Now Beppe doesn't have horses on the farm, but funnily enough, horse riders passing through the yard had gradually become an everyday event the very day that Nocciola decided to rescue a little bird. I know that sounds strange, especially considering that Nocciola is a cat, but sometimes, things are not always as they seem. In fact Nocciola had intended to have the little bird for lunch, well actually as a snack for lunch; but when he realised that not having the little bird for lunch was worth a lot more than a small snack he decided to take up Beppe's offer, keep his mouth closed and his claws under control.
