Paul Schultetus was an actor in vaudeville, a published author, and an artist. He read a set of encyclopedias belonging to his grandfather-twice. His entire life, he continued to evolve, learn new skills, and then move on with his children and wife who enjoyed life with him at the helm. What he learned, he passed to his children and grandchildren, who all related these lessons to their children. The stories of their lives, of farming, registered dogs, his history, and the ways they showed their individualized love for each of their twelve children, which he delivered, left me with the desire to know more. That, with the devastating issues of mental illness, was a strong incentive for a young girl to investigate and to write this book.
