I have always been fascinated by history. When studying the broad strokes of history, an examination of war was required. After having studied the American Civil War, the next great conflict, that shaped the United States, was the second World War. This is a story of American soldiers in London during the war.I spent several years gathering the oral histories and books that are available concerning World War 2. As I read, and learned these stories, I realized that I would have to write this story as a play, and later, as a novel.The day came when I told myself, it was time to do what all writers must do, and that was placing oneself in a chair, paper, and pen in hand, and commit ink to the page.
