This memoir is a reliving of 50 years of Hyun Martin's journey. It began in South Korea with outhouses and moved on to a trailer park in Texas in the 60's. Later, she lived on a farm with a pig, chickens, a cow and horses in Lampasas, TX, then Austin, Indiana and Washington, DC, This is the story of a Korean immigrant adoptee who grew up with abuse and incest in an alcoholic biracial household. She reunited with her Korean birth parents in her teen years and began her journey to find herself and create her own family. She still had to reconcile the messiness of immigrant parents and abusive adoptive parents while becoming an advocate for Children's Rights and Child Advocacy Centers.
