When a little Shetland pony is discovered lost in a dairy farmer's field, the farmer takes the pony to his neighbour's horse ranch where it can be taken care of by Sally and her family. In this book, we are introduced to Sally, her dog, and all her other animal friends on the ranch, and finally to the little Shetland.
