It was January 23rd, 1997 and on a clear and balmy night I sat on the Ouachita River with some new friends trying to catch a few catfish when it happened... a moment that would change my life forever and it all started with a rather odd question. I was just sitting there admiring the night sky and how these bearded men seemed to be very different than anyone I had ever met when one of them sat down beside me and said, "your name is Conover right?" to which I answer "yep" and then he asked, "Well Conover... have you solved your death problem yet?." That question, as odd as it was, started a conversation that lasted through the night and opened up a new reality for me and a new direction that leads me here... to write this very book.
