The Rain Drinkers

This is a story set in early 1900 Long Island, NY in the town of Bay Shore. The story centers on a young man sent to stay with an uncle whom he never knew existed when his only other living relative passes away. The uncle is a market gunner, providing waterfowl for the tables of New York restaurants. He is a cruel and abusive man who lives with his young wife on the shores of the Great South Bay. Their lives collide in a tragic love triangle stretching from the waters of Long Island to the streets of New York City. It is a coming of age story touching upon topics of love, obsession, immigration, and racism.
