The golden dragon book Charlie Higgins found in his uncle's attic in England doesn't seem to be working as the clock book did last summer. Why isn't the magic of the Land of the Presence helping now? Startled by the sudden approach of his best friend, Ben Sparks, Charlie tries to hide his golden dragon book but drops it, revealing the secret to Ben who is very uncomfortable with its existence. Worlds away, Queen Muriphany and Wenzel have built the beautiful Dragon Kingdom with the help of the dragons and the seventeen traitors of Malek.
