This book focuses on changing the narrative in criminal justice reform initiatives to address the systemic conditions that adversely impact certain communities of color and police wellness issues. While the correlation between poverty and antisocial behavior is not new, a concern is rising as to when will stakeholders address these concerns with new preventative technology such as neuroscience . This article or mini-book explores current applications of neuroscience in law enforcement in conjunction with advocating a systems approach to addressing environmental inequities. This author propose these two strategies as a simultaneous top down bottom up approach to reducing the number of individuals to the school to prison pipeline.
