He is of Georgian nationality. After graduating from Tbilisi State University, he worked at a television station as a journalist. While working at the TV station, together with his friends, Temur founded a nowadays legendary folklore ensemble The Georgian Voices. Temur began writing relatively late, at the age of 40. He has published seven books.
