My Journey Through The Social Media Maze : Personal Observations Of Social Media And Social Media Marketing

A little over six years ago, I found myself in a position where I had to accomplish two goals in a short amount of time. I needed to learn as much as I could about the ever changing world of social media while at the same time reevaluate my personal goals in life. As fate would have it, both of these goals quickly became intertwined.I had been asked to take on the daunting responsibility of managing the local social media messaging for a national political campaign. This request began what would be become the start of an enlightening journey. Join me as I revisit my quest in navigating the ever evolving world of social media. While I admit to have learned a lot of the course of the last six years, social media being the ever evolving beast that it is; continues to reinvent itself. There will always be new technologies and best practices to master. One thing for certain, though, is that social media is not going away any time soon. I look forward to continuing on this journey.
