The book title, "A Simple Game of Ten", implies that there is a simpler way to view the success of MLB baseball organizations. Success these days is measured in the number of wins a baseball team achieves, with the ultimate prize of winning a conference title or participating in post-season playoffs and getting to and winning conference championships or the World Series of baseball. It is the intention of this book to expand the horizons of thinking with regard to increasing the number of wins a baseball team can achieve. The earlier chapters review some traditional baseball approaches to winning ballgames which continue to be important and should not be minimized. But the major focus of this book in the later chapters will be to explore and build on new ideas and pursue new courses of winning strategies and supporting technologies. These can be employed by any MLB team to increase its win total to achieve the goal of participating in post-season playoffs.
