From farm recipes, Sunday family gatherings and regional potlucks. These recipes are from our Mothers, Grand Mothers , Great Grand Mothers , Aunts and more. Passing These recipes to future generations will bring back memories of days gone by and hopefully create many new ones.. I was a single Dad for many years and credit my Mother and Grand Mother for my love of food and the desire to keep the tradition of the home cooked meal alive. In an age of fast food, frozen and boxed dinners many of our young people are living a life devoid of the memories of delicious home cooked , old fashioned sit down meals and the family memories that many of us old guys and gals hold so dear and have made us who we are today. With the 1999 Cape Girardeau Missouri murder of my beloved daughter Erica Lee Springer at the hands of Ricky Joe Franks I vowed that in her memory in place of the Grand babies I would never have I would pass these recipes on to the world to try and carry on for many more generatons. If I can help create memories for others in her name then her life will not have been totally in vain and lost at the hands of a monster. Many I am sure some have tried in one variation or another , but try each one and see if you too will feel as myself and family have. Full of joy, love and happy memories of holidays and family gatherings that will continue for generations to come. It does not matter the level of cooking experience you might have cooking is about love . Love of family and friends . Good times and memories.
