Susie Phillips lives on her family's' farm and its really boring. They have so much land but the only animals they look after are 'The Herd' Her brother is being a teenage pain and all she wants is a friend for the Summer. A trip to the local country fair results in Susie and her grandad James in care of two ducks that are the complete opposite of each other and have never lived openly before with humans. As Bubbles and Squeak learn all about farm life and family, Susie and her brother Jack are being pulled more apart. When an enemy attack on the Phillips farm occurs, the siblings must put aside their differences and become a team to protect the new members of the Brecon Button farm.
