Bruno is a multi-continental career criminal who buys a lottery ticket on a whim and unexpectedly wins the biggest single lottery win in the country's history. What does he do with the ticket? Our flawed protagonist, Oscar, and his colleague and friend, Heidi, find the unclaimed winning lottery ticket that has enthralled the entire country. They claim the 60 million dollar prize and attempt to pacify their guilt by indulging in heavy spending while building cover stories for their families and friends. Oscar attempts to do something positive with his fortune but Heidi can't resist in overt displays of greed. Bruno spies on them and engages in low-level attempts at revenge which frustrates him with limited satisfaction but serve as forewarnings to Oscar and Heidi as they attempt to get away with claiming the fortune long term. It is not long, however, before Oscar and Heidi realise they are caught in a life and death game of cat sees mouse, cat chases mouse, cat kills mouse. Will they be able to outwit Bruno? Or will they pay the ultimate price? This book was originally published as 'Two Kinds of Felony'. This second edition has been edited to include less graphic descriptions of high-level violence, assault and intimacy.
