Social Capital 2.0

The message contained here, and the power of the message to better the lives of everyone who reads it, has been a passion of mine for a long time. In our society, I view relationships, and communication in general, as often being stifled by automation, digitization, and social media. These tools ostensibly make our lives easier, but their side-effects have left us with a lack luster face-to-face experience, and degradation of some of the most innately human aspects of life. We feel this impact in our personal lives and our business lives. We have forgotten the importance of direct communication and the long-term benefits of creating social capital with those around us. Instead of calling someone, we text. Instead of checking in with family, we look at their Facebook newsfeed. Instead of connection, we opt for convenience. Long-term relationships we build throughout our lives help us to grow, not only as individuals, but in our careers and with our personal business goals. Direct contact must flourish if our society and our businesses are to continue to function at the most effective levels possible. The purpose of the forthcoming is to impart that to you.
