I Have A Car Who Likes to Wear Hats: and other Visual Tales

The WHY of this book:Poetry has always intrigued me and eluded me. Of all the verbal arts I think of it as the closest to images. Perhaps it's the inability to pin down what exactly is meant that stays with me and leaves me wondering a long time after I've read it. This elusiveness is something that is shared by the visual arts. The open nature of both is appealing in that it leaves room to bring one's own world into it. To my way of thinking, both are types of "statements" that hover closer to a "truth". This series is my attempt to bring both these arts together.The WHENCE of this book:The very first inklings that I would be exploring a deeper marriage of words and images came as the result of a fortutitous interaction on Facebook in the fall of 2015. I had an image for which I could not think of an appropriate title and I asked my Facebook friends for help. Reading the thread of all the suggestions coming in started seeming very poetic. I took the titles and wove them together to test that impression.
