My story can be summarized as sarcastic, funny, traumatizing, healing and triumphant. Life beyond the kitchen door is a love story to my sister and explains how I learned to survive the worst of the worst in our life. The universe would demand that I learn big fat life lessons that literally began on the day I was born in 1962. The trauma we experienced at an early age, taught me coping skills that I would need to survive my life. By the 1990s, I was juggling 80-hour work weeks, parenting two kids, and circumventing a husband who was systematically destroying our finances in the shadows. Followed by divorce and marrying the love of my life.From the massive and always unpredictable emotions grief elicits, you will experience what I went through as you read this book. While navigating emergency upon emergency, all while running Albuquerque's busiest and most renowned catering company. Writing advanced my ability to heal. I perfected the art of vomiting it all up "over and over again." It seemed like I was playing a non-stop game of adrenaline Whack-a-Mole. Family issues jumped out at me from every corner.
