Metaethics

Metaethics offers many possibilities for different ontologies with their own standards of truth that any ethical statement may occupy. Something may depend on us, such as being false, mere opinion, or arbitrary rules. Or a realist assumption can be invoked that sees a way of obtaining ethical information through self-correcting feedback, reflective equilibrium, or hermeneutic circles. Perfection tends to be an open ended necessary possibility that we can always get better and improve.I propose that evil is what happens when we may know what is right but do what is wrong anyway. Self-deception is thinking the good is whatever we want to say it is. I portray Nietzsche as an example of an evil corrupt theory, Nietzsche argued one can feel immune from moral reproach by dismissing such things as the arbitrary jealous ranting of lesser beings, too scared to take a risk. We can say viewing the world as ugly can rationalize the evil one does. Foucault explains that recidivism is an evil consequence of our system's response to the evil that men do. It creates a useful delinquency in a pyramid of power; I offer a healing alternative through practicing 'servant leadership' in a networked workplace.
