Without doubt sincere Christians would like to know how their faith fare in the light of today's towering religious pluralism. One of the basic Christian beliefs that has been put into the crucible by the current religious pluralism is the belief in Jesus Christ as the only saviour of the world. This belief has been accused of inflaming the fire of arrogance, pride and superiority complex among Christians over other religions. It is assumed by pluralists that it has its foundation on the equally contested Christian faith in Jesus Christ as true God and true man, which they term a myth taking too far. Some argue that the divine incarnation that gave rise to this assumption should be considered metaphorically and not essentially. The fear of such people is that if God incarnated in Jesus of Nazareth then Christianity is the only religion of God. In this way, all the other religions of the world are decimated. Condemning this seeming religious insult religious pluralists argue that the dual nature of Christ leaves no room for man to imitate him effectively. In other words, Jesus Christ cannot be a perfect model for man because he was not only man but also God.
