City Of Refuge: A Mystery

After her mother dies, Alayna Mohamed decides to become a backpacker. London holds too much pain, so she'll tour England for the first time in her life. But when she rescues an entire village cafe from a senile old woman, she is immediately hired on as that woman's nurse. Alayna doesn't understand why the old lady lives in a house near the cliffs with three other unrelated women, or why she insists that Alayna accompany her on her jaunts in a rickety old boat. Then, when her charge turns up in that same boat, poisoned, Alayna knows that she cannot leave. Someone wants to harm the women who have taken refuge in the old house. It doesn't take long for Alayna to realize that she is their next target.
