The book is about a reindeer trying to get famous by joining Santa's reindeer team. He is willing to get on the team at any cost. After not getting selected he tries to manipulate the process in order to get on the team. The plan goes awry, he gets himself in deep trouble and eventually learn that there is a price to pay when you try to take a short cut to gain success. He discovers that what he really needed was not fortune and fame but the mutual trust and friendship of his peers. To get it, he would have to change his ways. Below is a brief extract from the book.It was on the eve of Christmas and everyone was busy with their preparations. They were excited at the prospect of the Christmas day celebrations. People were busy getting gifts for each other and lighting up their Christmas tree. They were singing Christmas carols that would soon fill everyone with glee. The joy of Christmas spread across the nation as everyone joined in the glorious Christmas celebration. It had been snowing all day and the ground was covered with thick white snow. It was going to be one of the whitest Christmas on record, perfect for sledding to deliver the gifts that Santa bestow. Every Christmas Santa's hometown, a little remote village called Rovaniemi located in the Arctic Circle at the North Pole, would be buzzing with activities as everyone prepared for the Christmas festivities. This year was no different, Santa was very happy with the way things were progressing. He was thankful he had so much to share as he counted each of his blessing. Soon he would be going around the world delivering the toys that would bring joy to all the little girls and boys.It was a big job, but Santa enjoyed making others happy. He was cheerful as he worked even when things got scrappy. He had made it his life's mission ever since he was a little boy. He would always share his toys with the other kids as this would bring him the most joy.
