At more than seventy years old, she is confronted in a country under reconstruction, with men who assert their constant superiority over women, with a renewal that blows on the country with the arrival of a new path of Buddhism, Zen carried by Master Dogen, and with events that exceed her, but whose place she assumes the place she must occupy.
