Bereshit: A Biblical Approach To Leadership

The Scriptures stand as an encyclopedia of wisdom for the science and art of leadership. Life proves that art is the expression of science while science finds its meaning in the proton of what was created by God. Regardless of who is leading, it is safe to say that the written word of God models the way on what leadership is, including explicit examples on what to do and what not to do. For every assignment God had for those he called, he gave them strategies of implementation. In fact, when it comes to creation, and specifically humans, God has always made sure to put a model in place with which one can recreate, innovate, invent, or reinvent. Genesis 1 laid the foundation of creation from which sprung creativity and innovation. In fact, after creation, no man has been able to create anything. We either recreate, innovate, invent, or reinvent using what has already been made available to us through the original creation of God. This book takes us on a journey to leadership and reintroduces us to an aspect of leadership that does not focus on the position per se but more on the process of discovery, improvement, and influence manifested within a group that is working toward a common objective. Understanding that process eases the appropriation of the leadership mandate received in Genesis 1 to reproduce, rule, subdue, or even better, make more leaders with divine qualification for effective leadership.
