Lin Thoren, a minor Norse goddess is ethereally beautiful. While her powers are much diminished, she can still move faster than light, shape shift for limited periods and throw a grown man across the room. Lin is wedded to the god Hoenir (now known as Hunter), the brother of Odin. He is a huge blond hulk and frighteningly strong. Charming and kind, he is clever in financial matters, but not much else. Although ancient, Lin and Hunter remain youthful and magnificent; neither shares human views of morality - sexual or otherwise. They both play around, even though their bond remains unbreakable. After all, anyone married for thousands of years needs the occasional change. They live with their two children in a suburb of Washington, D. C.Mary Lambert has just earned her Master's degree in creative writing and aspires to the life of an author. Lin hires her to be a live-in ghostwriter of her memoirs, which covers many eras, cultures, and historical events. She becomes an integral member of the Thoren household-in more ways than one.
