In the summertime, life is easy for the citizens of a sleepy southern town called Delta. The elder matriarch, Mavis, recounted to her longtime friend, Louise, a time when things were a bit restless as they set up the church for their annual revival. The riff-raff all began when her rich and successful orphaned niece, Delano, returned home from the extravagant City of New Haven out of the blue. Mavis' wayward daughter, Tabitha, was less than enthused to share her social spotlight with the cousin whom she dubbed "tragic beauty." Their relationship nearly came to blows once the cat was out of the bag that Delta's most prominent handsome bachelor and Tabitha's obsessive crush, Trenton, had fallen madly in love with the New Haven debutante. Hope was not lost as Mavis's faith helped their family sort through binds of resentment, forgiveness, and love to find balance.
