Trying to ease his father’s mourning and hold what’s left of his family together, Katie and the boy search for a Christmas tree in their small town. Together, they try to reclaim a bit of Christmas and help each other deal with the aftermath of death. The Quarry is a coming-of-age story about young love and loss, set against the harsh winter wonderland of Northern Michigan.
