This commentary of Paul's First letter to the Corinthian assembly is presented as an insight both to the man and the church. The man, Paul, is unique. A man not mentioned in the historical gospels and therefore positioned in a rather secondary position in Christianity by the establishment...the present Roman Church. And yet the man obviously was chosen by our Lord Jesus to reveal to all Christians the New Testament meaning of exactly what Jesus began to do and teach concerning the church. The church has its origin in Jesus Christ. The church has its organization and doctrine in the Apostle Paul. All other New Testament authors, John, James, Peter, Jude and the author of Hebrews present practical, behavioral, comparative, and prophetical truth to be taught and learned by the church. The Corinthian church is the example church. Not as a model to follow, but as a model of carnal Christianity to avoid.
