Life is about perspective. This story is from the Journal of the author as he ventures out with four friends on the Tahoe Rim Trail to find his own strength and perspective. A grueling 165 mile hike turns into a life-changing event for all included in this Fellowship. Included are stories from the author's personal life that help illustrate the positives that come from struggle and how it not only builds character but strengthens the human resolve as well. It's about living life to its fullest while helping others do the same. The title of this book is born from a quote by John F Kennedy Jr. concerning the space program and the race to the moon: "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win ..." 25% of the profits from the sale of this book will be donated by the author to the Tahoe Rim Trail Association and 25% will be donated to the Connecticut Forest and Park Association in the author's home state of Connecticut. Feedback is certainly welcome and we would love to hear your personal stories of struggle and triumph from the trail and beyond.
