The Promise: The Promise Remembered, Thank God

A 10 year old boy makes a Promise to a policeman and to God but then forgets the Promise throughout his childhood. He is in the Army in Hawaii when Pearl Harbor is bombed in 1941. He almost loses his leg in the war and, in the courses of rehabilitation, renews his Promise to try to please God with his life. In the process he finds Romance with a beautiful young Church worker.
