This is a book of short stories, "The Neanderthal" is a work of fiction; a Novelette. In the so-called cave man days a Neanderthal man teams up with a Homo Sapien woman and together they travel the world. "The Witness" is about a man who testifies against a gangster and enters the witness protection program. When the criminals discover where he is he goes on the run hiding out with Native Americans in Northern Canada. "The Philosophers Table" is a story of a computer nerd who gets involved with dangerous gangsters and comes into a large sum of money to complicate this involvement. "The Prisoner" deals with historic events some real and some not; but no attempt at accuracy has been considered. The only purpose is to entertain the reader. I hope I have. "Finding Billy Boy" is about a teen age boy (Billy) with abusive parents who runs away from his tenement home in Brooklyn and hides out in a tent near the Appellation trail in Massachusetts, meets up with a tramp (Bud) and has an adventuresome summer camping out with his new friend. A detective is hired to search for and locate him. Next is "Slayer of Mastodons" an Ice Age Alcoholic Fantasy. A Man in an alcoholic coma has a fantasy dream remembering adventures experienced by ancient ancestors caught up in the approaching ice age. He takes some of his modern knowledge with him into the past and becomes a slayer of mastodons.
