This is a fascinating family history covering the centuries from the 1600's to the present day. We see the lives of the families in Britain and how they emigrated to New Zealand where they made new lives. The story continues... Jack (one of her grandsons) asked the author about his grandfather Michael. It was then that she decided to write stories for her seven grandchildren. Because the author had 100 letters written by her Father during WWII, two diaries written by Dr A C Barker in the 1850's, and opportunities to visit where her Gibson and Barker relations came from in England, she decided to put this and more information together in a book. The book is in three parts: the Gibson Family, the Barker family and the Bosworth family, ending with a contribution by each of the author's grandchildren to bring it right up to the date of publication.
