This not a travelogue nor a self-help book but an honest reflection of a journey by foot. When boredom sinks its teeth in, and you are stuck in a routine which kills off your dreams, sometimes the ideas that come to light are so absurd that you end up travelling an unbeaten track on foot for 600 lonely kilometres. I didnt know where I was going. Or what I was doing. I wanted to write. I wanted to taste the life that I so often visited in Werner Herzogs work. So, when I read his advice That every young man should take a significant walk at least once in their life I went and wandered. The following pages are the journal entries that accompanied me from Turin in Italy, through the Swiss and Austrian Alps to Munich, Germany.
