Best Friends 11: A New Beginning

Ed and Mindy along with their group of Best Friends finally make it to the altar with their usual flair for the unexpected. -I don't want to embarrass Ed and Mindy, but I have never seen a young couple show their love for each other more than they have. In a world of instant self gratification they publicly took a vow of chastity until their union as husband and wife. Each of the young couples we are privileged to be celebrating with today are exemplary young people and my lovely family and I are honored to call each and every one of them friend.- Now that there is not a dry eye in the place he starts the ceremony. I have to explain that lately Mindy seems to be doing what I had so much trouble with a few years ago and that's thinking out loud. This is a practice that can be embarrassing at times; this is one of those times. He asks Mindy if she takes me as her lawfully wedded husband and all that goes with it and naturally she says -I do-. He asks me the same thing except do I take Mindy as my wife, when he gets to the part where I am supposed to say I do, Mindy says. -Of course he does, if he doesn't I'll break his neck.- Like I said the silence is just about total until she says that, now I'm afraid we may get arrested for disturbing the peace. I have never seen Mindy turn so red. She puts both hands over her face and asks me to tell her she didn't say that. I hug her and tell her I would love to, but I'm afraid a few hundred people might disagree with me.
