Tommy Baker rules his house with an iron fist., but after narrowly escaping prison for a botched armed robbery, he is, too worried to continue with the same crimes, and is looking for an easy way to make money. His wife May knows that he is a bullying tyrant, but she doesn't expect him to stoop low enough to completely ignore his parental obligations. She is horrified at his new plans for instant cash. Even more worrying is the fact that her teenage daughters appear to be in agreement with him. They become increasingly distant with her and she believes that they are doing this to stop her from confronting him and becoming the focus of his anger.
