The sequel to 'A Dog Like Ralph'. It is the sort-of diary of Clare and her dog Lucy, and is a story of how dogs can help humans heal, and how humans can help dogs to overcome their own very special sort of grief. When a dog loses their human companion it results in the upheaval of everything they've ever loved. When a human loses their parent it is the most heart-rending thing to have to deal with. Lucy had been rescued just three years earlier and thought she had found her forever home. She was living as the sole dog in charge of an old woman. When the old woman passed away, Lucy found herself thrust into a life in which she would have to share her new humans with two other dogs. She had encountered Ralph and Peggy before and, quite frankly and in her stroppy terrier way, was not that keen on them. While this book continues the story of nervous Ralph the lurcher, Peggy the aloof rescued greyhound, and the feisty terrier Lucy, it can be read as a standalone book, but reading A Dog Like Ralph first will enhance the reading of this book.
