This is a NEW version of "Diary of a Backwoods Preacher", "Stories My Granddaddy Told Me". Several funny stories as well as some serious ones about the Civil war have been added. Most of the stories are about my Granddad's preaching or his boyhood experiences and were originally told to entertain me. When I was a boy, our main source of entertainment was the radio, so my Granddad either told me stories about his experiences or made up stories. You will decide which ones he embellished. In this NEW VERSION, some first-hand Civil War stories are included that you won't find elsewhere. It is my privilege to publish stories by my Granddad, who tried unsuccessfully to publish them in the past. I am sure many of these stories will tickle you funny bone and give you a new Civil War insight.
