THE DOCK OF CHRIST The water lapped against the dock and sunlight filled the air. I watched as children swam and played yet sensed the danger there. While floating near the dock above I called to them, "stay near!" Yet many strayed as children do my message was not clear. I cleared the salt from out my eyes and thought to bring them in but as my fingers left the dock I saw the coming fin. "Get out! come in!" I called to them "the shark is on his way!" Then crawled me on the dock above and I began to pray. I knew I'd be no help for them if I were floating too. At once I lay me on the dock and reached to save a few.
