This book is part of a series of verse by verse Bible studies produced by the 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, Books for Ministry, and written by Bruce Hitchcock (www.equippingchurches.net). It is the intent of Books for Ministry to accomplish two goals. The first goal is to provide quality Bible study materials as part of a structured, planned, spiritual growth program. God has commanded that we grow in Him. The apostle Peter echoes this command in 2 Peter 3:18, "but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." This verse is substantiated by the words of the author of Hebrews in Chapter 6, verse 1 which states, "Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity."The second goal is to provide books and other spiritual growth aids written by those who love Jesus with all their hearts, souls, and minds. We then give these materials to believers who desire to grow spiritually, but cannot afford the cost of them.
