Hot Flash - 9781535586382

The concept for "Hot Flash" was originally based on a notion that "coming of age" stories of the female gender were sadly lacking in our literature. Since females are at least 50% of the population the idea was to write a novel that showcased females stories. It is my belief that these stories are as important, and can be as entertaining, and as adventuresome as their male counter-parts. The fact that the characters in the novel took over at some point, because they wanted the reader to know these two young ladies as adults, brought much more to the table for us to cogitate. They beg these questions be asked: Is there is a limit to what one can, or should, do for a life-long friend? How does one help the other through the ramifications of a rape? Or the murder of a husband? Or the ensuing insanity? Or a possession by an evil entity? How do they manage the interminable hot flashes they both suffer as they age? Who survives?
