In Chicago, to attend a Behavioral Science symposium at Northwestern University, on her way to her suite after dinner, FBI Special Agent Charley Faraday is abducted. She survives repeated drugging, and awakens in a cold, damp basement. Her location and kidnapper are unknown. Determined to escape, Charley will stop at nothing for freedom. Special Agent Sean Murphy and the team work twenty-four hours a day to locate Charley. She leaves behind crumbs to mark her route.
