A Hero'S Journey

What's a hero? Heroes come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and can be either male or female. They are everyday people in our communities and society. The label "hero" is given to someone for many reasons. The first thing that comes to mind are acts of bravery on the battlefield--a police officer in the line of duty or a firefighter pulling someone from a burning building. The word "hero" is a very complex term, and it has evolved overtime. A hero can be someone who inspires others to do something good for themselves and others in their community. A hero is one who sets high standards for himself or herself, someone whose deeds and accomplishments are worthy of praise by others. A hero is one who overcomes tremendous odds against him and inspires others to do the same. He is a person who is not afraid to stand up for what he believes is right, someone who helps when the benefit and praise is knowingly going to someone else. They are soldiers who choose to defend our country while knowing and understanding that they may not survive their journey of service to their country. This book is by Mose M. Kinsey.
