Like To Die

When Luke walks into the nightclub where Vie works as a cocktail server, he's immediately drawn to the sassy, intelligent redhead. She rebuffs him, but Luke is able to get his foot in the door thanks to the intervention of her friend Carly who thinks it's high time her girl got laid. The promised date never happens, but when Vie and Carly rescue Luke from a beating at the hands of goons who work for Luke's supermodel boss, they're shocked to learn that Luke is a vampire-a vampire on the outs in the vampire world. The vampire council allows each master vampire to control a specific number of vampires in their coven, and Luke's master has decided she wants him dead so she can make room for a new recruit. Vie and Carly decide to help Luke, only to find themselves stuck in a complicated tangle of alliances in a world as foreign to the women as it is brutal.
