My Franciscan Prayer Companion: My Little Prayer Book

A simple book of prayer. Liturgy of the Hours is the focus, and sets the rhythm of the daily prayer. My Franciscan Prayer Companion is set to be said three times a day. Participants recite litanies, prayers, and hymns from the psalms- in this book of prayer we offer the three Hours. For many the complexity of the Divine Office can be overwhelming. In this book of prayer we take a Franciscan view of simplicity- keeping it to the seven days of the week and the three Hours of the day. We do not differentiate from common days or Holy Days, but instead see each day as a Sabbath for contemplative prayer. On a saint's feast day you may add special prayers to your liking. Our goal again is simplicity and the hope that simplicity will lead to blissful prayer and awakening to God.
