Charlies Long Journey

Charlie is a happy little snail who makes a daily trip across the sidewalk to see his friends. The trip is long and difficult, and he must get up early because the higher the sun rises, the hotter and dryer the sidewalk becomes. One day the paperboy sees Charlie working hard to cross the sidewalk and decides to help. Charlie is delighted. He only had to work half as hard to reach the front yard. He helps again the next day, and that's when Charlie gets an idea. He'll work half has hard and let someone else finish his work for him. But Charlie's scheme backfires and gets him in way too much trouble for one little snail.
