Q: Why should I read this book? A: You want to support a young, self-published author. You like horror stories that are more emotionally driven rather than hack and slashes. You want to read a story with a trans main character. You love a bit of a puzzle. Or, perhaps most importantly, you have mosterfeels. When you first move into a new home, you have to get used to the change. The new sounds, the new rooms, and not knowing anything at all about this new place. Eddy Caller has just moved out of her father's house. She has moved on in life. She has moved into the path of the storm without knowing it. The rain won't stop falling, and the tides won't stop rising. How can you blame Eddy when her life's careening in a downward spiral pushing her toward self-destruction? Try as she might, try as she will, Eddy can't fight back everything. She can't fight back herself. She has her best friends and new roommate, the Adrastos System, to fall back on, even as much as they fall back on her. Like a lean-to supporting itself, they can get through anything as long as they have one another. The problem is that even the professionals can't see this new thing that's infected their hearth and home.
