To Be Deceived (Deception)

This book tells a story of a young girl taught a strength few can attain. Taught to keep everything to herself and just accept the cards dealt. Trust no one to do do anything but hurt you and forced to keep it all in. Eventually she began accepting her reality that seeing and believing go hand and hand. That's when confirmation from God became her confidant then the devil decided to stunt. She did all she could to dismiss the devils demise of other people's lies completely out of her mind coming up empty each time. She found it hard to see through the smoke of lies fed to her. However, she desperately wanted to know what God placed her here to do, but she found herself trapped between lies and deceit eventually becoming the one thing she never wanted to be. The events that took place in her life taught her to keep all things about her deep down inside and to accept the cards she was dealt because she had to learn to look out for herself. What helped her to do so was something her mother always said "Life is not fair it is what you make of it so make your choices don't let others make them for you." adding one last statement for her daughter to hear "Oh and remember as long as you and God know the truth who cares what others think and that includes me Baby doll you have nothing to prove to anyone but Him." Of all the things she'd learned in her life by age 31 Amanda had taught herself to adapt to the unfairness she felt by her loved ones because it always ranked number one. Even though she heard it all in her short time as an adolescent to an adult in her remembering words that kept her trapped in those four walls. "No one cares to hear your problems." They were like a chant that played repetitiously in her mind and Amanda's question was why. Why it was that no one cared with the same love she shared? As a child she wanted to know why no one protected her from danger causing an interruption in her understanding of how to recognize friend from foe. Amanda craved acceptance and love but nothing more than she deserved. From her childhood into her adult life to achieve acceptance and love was an everyday fight, but as a child she was taught to be seen and not heard so Amanda had no choice but to accept the flaws of others. Having no choice but to set aside the pain of the scars left behind from years of deception done to her by others that could only be seen through her eyes.
