A toad learns that a kiss can be magical. A toad named Bufo is born alone in a dangerous, watery world, surrounded by bullying frogs, hungry fish, and hazardous waste. As he grows from an awkward tadpole into a mature toad, he ventures from his childhood pond out into a new land of suburbia. There he encounters deadly snakes and reckless humans. However, Bufo finds friends in a dog, a little girl, and finally his true love. Along the way he learns to be proud of being himself.
